Reflection 2

The significance of technology access is escalating with every generation. In experience with substitute teaching technology has proven to me as a valuable tool in the education process. By having access to all of the programs, it allows students to learn how to use the programs and it assists in the learning process. I think it is wonderful that students begin using certain programs at a young age because it prepares them for what may lie ahead.

  1. I agree that the younger they are the better acclamated they become with the computer. They become more self confident in their abilities to maneuver around the computer and navigate through different programs.

  2. I agree totally with you Jessica. In today's time, with everything being able to be accessed through the use of computers, the sooner students learn the basic functions of them, the better off they'll be in the future. It may sound funny now, but I think eventually in the near future, fourth and fifth graders and grades after that will no longer be taking tests manually, but electronically.

  3. Jessica, you are right technology has been escalating. I guess I am old fashioned, but I would like to see children taught how not to be dependant on all things technological. I think if they first learn how to depend on themselves they will not be lost or loose self-confidence when the power goes off.
